Apple TV+ Ends Four-Year Run of 'Mythic Quest' with Updated Finale

Apple TV+ Cancels Long-Running Comedy 'Mythic Quest'
Apple TV+ has announced the cancellation of its longest-running comedy series, Mythic Quest, after four seasons. The show, set in the world of video game production, premiered on February 7, 2020, and became one of Apple's most well-regarded comedies, receiving praise from both critics and viewers.
Despite its positive reception, it appears that the fan base was not large enough to justify continuing the series. The executive producers, Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney, expressed their pride in the show and gratitude to the cast, crew, and fans. They also mentioned that Apple has approved a revision to the season 4 finale to provide a more fitting conclusion.
The cancellation may come as a surprise given the show's success, including a spin-off series Side Quest. However, during its fourth season, Mythic Quest did not perform well on the Apple TV+ top charts, coinciding with the release of Severance season 2. The low performance metrics likely played a significant role in the decision to cancel the show.
