Apple Updates Website With New Disclaimer on Delayed Siri AI Features

Apple has added a new disclaimer on its website regarding delayed AI Siri features that were slated for the iPhone 16 and related devices. These features, which include personal context understanding, on-screen awareness, and in-app actions, would allow users to find information from conversations and take action within apps using voice commands. However, due to development challenges, Apple confirmed last week that these features have been indefinitely delayed. The new disclaimer on the website reads: 'Siri’s personal context understanding, onscreen awareness, and in-app actions are in development and will be available with a future software update.' While no specific timeline has been provided, it is anticipated that the features might become available in iOS 19, which could release between fall 2025 and summer 2026.
