Apple Watch Sleep Apnea Detection Feature Now Available in Canada

Apple Watch sleep apnea detection is now available in Canada, joining over 150 countries where the feature has been approved and launched for Apple Watch users.

Apple has launched sleep apnea notifications for Apple Watch users in Canada after receiving approval from Health Canada in September. The feature, which uses the watch’s accelerometer to detect breathing disturbances during sleep, is available on Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2, and Series 10 models running watchOS 11 or later. Sleep apnea affects over a billion people worldwide and often goes undiagnosed.
