Apple Watch's Future Leap: Camera Integration and AI Revolution

Apple plans to integrate cameras into future Apple Watch models as part of a broader push to enhance AI capabilities across its wearables.

Future Apple Watch Models May Include Cameras

Apple is reportedly developing future versions of the Apple Watch with integrated cameras, aiming to enhance its capabilities as an AI wearable device. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman revealed that both standard and ultra models are in development, with different placements for the camera: embedded within the display for the standard model and on the side near the digital crown for the Ultra.

This initiative is part of Apple's broader push into AI, particularly focusing on Visual Intelligence technology. The company plans to integrate this feature across various devices, including AirPods, and aims to develop its own AI models rather than relying on external ones like those from OpenAI and Google.

The camera-equipped Apple Watch and AirPods are not expected to launch until at least 2027, pending the progress of Apple's AI development. The company has recently experienced an executive shake-up in its AI teams, which could impact the timeline.
