Apple's 2027 M6 iPad Pro Set to Ditch Qualcomm for In-House Modem

Apple's In-House Modems to Debut in M6 iPad Pro in 2027
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple will introduce its in-house modems in the M6 iPad Pro by 2027. This follows the recent debut of the C1 modem in the iPhone 16e, which, while competitive, lacks mmWave support. Apple is already developing future generations of its in-house modems to reach flagship standards.
The move will replace Qualcomm modems currently used in cellular versions of the iPad Pro. However, the M6 model with in-house modems isn't the next in line; an M5 iPad Pro is expected as soon as later this year, likely in October, per Gurman's report.
