Apple's Acquisition of Pixelmator Could Transform iPad's Photo Editing Capabilities

Apple's acquisition of Pixelmator could lead to the creation of an intuitive and feature-rich photo manipulation tool for the iPad, addressing a long-standing shortfall in iPad software capabilities.

Pixelmator, the company behind popular photo-editing apps for Apple platforms, announced on Friday that they will be acquired by Apple. This acquisition could potentially address one of the author's biggest complaints with the iPad - the lack of proper photo manipulation tools. While Adobe offers Photoshop for the iPad, it requires a subscription, and other alternatives like Affinity Photo are less intuitive to use. The author hopes that Apple will make Pixelmator Pro or a similar app available on the iPad, with support for Apple Pencil, and not turn it into a subscription service.
