Apple's AirTag 2: Coming Soon with Range and Privacy Improvements

Apple is reportedly preparing the release of AirTag 2 around the middle of next year, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The new model will feature a similar design but offer three key improvements including better range, an improved wireless chip, and better privacy. This comes after the original AirTag was released in early 2021 following nearly two years of leaks suggesting its existence.
