Apple's Base iPad Reimagined: A16 Chip and Double Storage at the Same $349 Price

Apple's base iPad gets a major upgrade with the powerful A16 chip and up to 512 GB of storage, all while maintaining its affordable $349 starting price.

Apple has refreshed its base model iPad, equipping it with an A16 chip and doubling the storage capacity while maintaining the starting price of $349. The new iPad now offers 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB storage options. This update provides a significant performance boost, making it up to 30% faster than the previous A14-powered model and up to six times faster than leading Android tablets. Despite these improvements, the A16 chip does not support Apple's AI features. The new iPad continues to support the Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Magic Keyboard Folio, with pre-orders available now and shipping starting on March 12.
