Apple's Big Home Push: The Trio of Exciting Devices Expected in 2025

Apple is set to launch three new Home products next year, including a brand new 'HomePad' device, an updated Apple TV 4K, and the first ever HomePod mini 2.

Apple is planning a significant expansion into the home market next year, with three new Home products currently in development: 'HomePad,' a brand-new product category; a revised Apple TV 4K model; and an updated version of its popular smart speaker, called HomePod mini 2.

The HomePad is expected to be an innovative wall-mounted display that will control appliances, handle videoconferencing, use AI for navigation, and run other apps, including built-in security cameras, a video/audio intercom system with FaceTime, and the Photos app's slideshows. The product, which resembles a square iPad with thick edges around its roughly 6-inch screen, is expected to launch sometime in 2025. It will come equipped with a camera at the top front, an internal rechargeable battery that powers built-in speakers.

The second-generation Apple TV 4K device, slated for its first update in several years, will offer a new Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chip as well as support Apple Intelligence tools such as Siri.

Finally, after a five-year wait since the launch of HomePod mini in 2020, consumers can expect to see an updated version in 2025. This could include full Apple Intelligence support or tighter integration with other devices like HomePad, allowing it to draw smarts from nearby iPhones or iPads.
