Apple's Foldable Future: Samsung Display to Supply OLED Screens for iPhone Fold

Apple taps Samsung Display to craft the foldable OLED screens for its highly anticipated iPhone Fold, a device set to redefine mobile technology.

Apple has reportedly chosen Samsung Display to supply the foldable OLED screens for its upcoming iPhone Fold. The decision was made due to Samsung's technical superiority in minimizing screen crease, a key requirement for Apple. Production of the 7.8-inch main folding panel and a 5.5-inch external display is expected to begin by the end of 2025 or early 2026. This move marks an unusual step for Apple, which typically works with multiple suppliers to increase competition and improve quality. LG Display, a long-time partner, has been excluded from this project despite previous collaborations on foldable screens.
