Apple is reportedly working on multiple versions of a second-generation Studio Display, with codenames J427 and J527, potentially hinting at different screen sizes or specifications.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is reportedly working on multiple versions of the next-generation Studio Display. The second generation model, codenamed J427, is set for release in 2026. Additionally, there's another monitor in development, codenamed J527, which could either be a third-generation Studio Display or a variant with different specifications. The exact nature of the J527 display remains unclear, but its codename suggests it might have a 27-inch screen. Gurman notes that Apple is taking time to develop these displays, possibly exploring multiple options for the second generation model.
