Apple reportedly plans to transition the MacBook Pro from mini-LED to OLED displays as soon as 2026, and in doing so, will ditch the notorious notch cutout for a hole-punch design.
Apple is reportedly planning to transition the MacBook Pro from mini-LED to OLED displays by 2026, according to a new timeline from research firm Omdia. The change would also see Apple ditching the current notch cutout in favor of a hole-punch design for the webcam, increasing the usable screen size and preventing the notch from cutting off parts of the macOS menu bar.
