Apple's Siri Update Faces Delays: New Features Postponed

Summary Apple's planned renovations for Siri, initially expected to debut with iOS 18.4 in April 2025, are encountering delays. According to a Bloomberg report, internal testing has not gone as smoothly as anticipated, pushing some features back to May or later. These features include Personal Context Understanding, In-App Actions, and Onscreen Awareness.
Once launched, the updates will enhance Siri's ability to interpret commands and perform multi-step tasks. For instance, users will be able to ask about a sports team and then request Siri to add the next game to their calendar. This functionality relies on app intents, which allow developers to present specific features of their apps for direct use by Siri.
Further advancements for Siri and Apple's AI capabilities are anticipated to be announced at WWDC 2025 in early June.
