Apple’s Smart Glasses Set to Rival Meta Ray-Bans by 2027

Apple's Plans for Smart Glasses
Apple is reportedly developing a chip designed for smart glasses, aiming to enter the market with a product similar to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses by 2027. This initiative is part of the company's broader strategy in the wearables segment, which already includes the Apple Watch, AirPods, and the recently launched Apple Vision Pro.
The chip for these smart glasses will be based on technology used in the Apple Watch, optimized for low power consumption and efficient camera control. The glasses themselves are expected to feature multiple cameras, aligning with Apple's plans to integrate camera capabilities into other wearables like AirPods and the Apple Watch.
In addition to the smart glasses, Apple is also working on advanced chips such as the M6 (Komodo) and M7 (Borneo), an AI server chip named Baltra, and in-house cellular modems for future iPhones. The company's efforts in mixed reality and smart glasses validate Meta’s hardware strategies, suggesting a shared vision for the future of wearable technology.
