The Invites app integrates with iCloud and has a web version on iCloud.com. It also utilizes a new iOS 18 daemon called GroupKit, which manages database models for groups of people. While it's unclear if the app will be standalone or integrated into other parts of the system, like a mini iMessage app, it is expected to have a more engaging interface compared to the Calendar app. Apple has not officially announced Invites, and there's a possibility that the project could be scrapped or delayed for a future iOS version.
