Apple's Upcoming 'LLM Siri': A Revolutionary Leap in AI-Powered Assistants

Bloomberg reports that Apple is developing a new version of Siri, referred to as 'LLM Siri', for iOS 19 and macOS 16. The upgraded assistant is currently being tested in a separate app but will eventually replace the existing Siri interface. LLM Siri will rely on advanced AI models to interact more like a human, handle tasks closer to ChatGPT and Google's Gemini, and make use of App Intents for better control over third-party apps. Apple plans to officially announce LLM Siri with iOS 19 and macOS 16 in 2025 but the new platform is expected to launch in Spring 2026.
