On December 5, 2024, Apple issued release candidates (RC) for iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, macOS Sequoia 15.2, watchOS 11.2, visionOS 2.2, and tvOS 18.2. These RC builds are meant for testing before the official updates are released to the public. The company also released RCs for iPadOS 17.7.3, macOS Ventura 13.7.2, and macOS Sonoma 14.7.2. These new OS updates include improvements in Apple's AI capabilities, including graphic-based features such as Genmoji and Image Playground. iPhone 16 users can utilize Visual Intelligence to ask queries through the smartphone's camera. The Writing Tools API has been expanded for third-party apps, and Siri now integrates with ChatGPT for certain queries.
