Apple's Upcoming Smart Home Display: A Nostalgic Twist with iMac G4-Inspired Stand

Apple's upcoming smart home display is set to feature a throwback design reminiscent of the iMac G4 from two decades ago, with a small base and angled screen.

In Mark Gurman's Power On newsletter, he shared details about Apple's upcoming smart home display. The device is set to ship early next year and will be the first Apple smart home product to support Apple Intelligence with the A18 chip. It will have a small screen, about the size of two iPhones side by side, with a square aspect ratio. The base may include speakers, making it similar to a HomePod with display. Interestingly, the device's screen is positioned at an angle on a small base, reminiscent of the circular bottom of the iMac G4 from a couple decades ago.
