Apple's Week-Long M4 Mac Event: A Return to Form or a Desire for Headlines?

Apple could have a lot to unveil through Halloween week in a series of press releases instead of a single event. It's an approach that the company has taken before, but one that tends to generate multiple news cycles, keeping people engaged and interested over several days.

Apple has confirmed that it will announce new Macs during a week-long event starting October 28. The company's SVP Greg Joswiak teased 'an exciting week of announcements' featuring a stylized Finder icon on the X social network. The launch is expected to include M4 chips, a new Mac mini, refreshed iMac, and updated MacBook Pro. A new (old) approach to events - Apple could refresh the 24-inch iMac.
