Bringing Touch Back: Hands-on with Flexbar, the Accessory Reviving Apple's Controversial Feature

Flexbar brings back the Touch Bar experience for desktop users, with customization options and third-party app integration coming soon - is it worth the $179 price tag?

Flexbar is a device developed by ENIAC Technology that brings back the Touch Bar experience to any Mac or Windows PC. It is a project that started through Kickstarter and is expected to launch in February 2025. The device features an AMOLED touchscreen panel with a sharp resolution for displaying content, and it can be fully customized through a companion app. Users can add shortcuts to open apps, folders, websites, run scripts, adjust the volume, play combination of keys or even sequence of commands. Flexbar is built in metal and comes with a magnetic stand that improves ergonomics while using the device on a desk.
