Chrome for Android Doubles Speedometer Score with Major Performance Improvements

Chrome for Android doubles Speedometer score due to build optimizations, V8 and Blink engine improvements, and OS-level collaboration

Google has detailed how it spent the past two years improving the performance of Chrome for Android, especially on the Speedometer benchmark which measures how quickly Chrome can complete interactions with web pages. Since Chrome 112 in April of 2023, scores more than doubled on many devices, thanks to updates involving build optimizations, V8 JavaScript engine and Blink rendering engine improvements, as well as working with Android partners to optimize Chrome's interaction with the operating system.
