Dope Thief: Apple TV+'s Latest Crime Thriller Set to Raise the Stakes

Based on Dennis Tafoya’s book “Dope Thief,” the series follows long-time Philly friends and delinquents who pose as DEA agents to rob an unknown house in the countryside, only to have their small-time grift become a life-and-death enterprise. The show is executive produced by Ridley Scott, with Peter Craig as creator, known for co-writing films like The Batman, Top Gun: Maverick, and The Town. Starring Brian Tyree Henry, Wagner Moura, Ving Rhames, and others, the first two episodes of Dope Thief will be available on Apple TV+ on March 14, with new episodes releasing weekly through April 25. The trailer for Dope Thief has generated significant buzz, making it a highly anticipated addition to Apple TV+'s growing slate of crime thrillers, which already includes popular shows like Black Bird, Hijack, Presumed Innocent, and Criminal Record.
