Exclusive: First Look at Google Play Store's New Search Tab and Redesign
The redesign adds a persistent bottom bar with a new Search tab, making it easier for users to navigate between different sections of the app.

Google is rolling out a new Play Store redesign that adds a Search tab and persistent bottom bar. The search functionality has been moved from the top of the screen to a central position on the bottom bar, making it easily accessible but requiring an extra tap to use. Previously accessed content such as 'You might like' and 'Explore games' is available in grid format under the new Search page. This changes are being implemented through version 40.1.19-31 of the Play Store via a server-side update and have not yet reached all users.
