Expand Your Memories: Google Photos Slideshows Coming to More Smart Devices

Google expands its photo slideshow feature from Nest Hub and Chromecast to smart TVs, tablets, fridges, and dedicated photo frames.

Google Expands Google Photos Slideshows to More Devices

Google is expanding the availability of Google Photos slideshows to more third-party devices, including smart TVs, tablets, fridges, and photo frames. This feature, which was previously available on Google TV, Android TV, Chromecast, Pixel Tablet, Nest Hub, and Nest Hub Max, allows users to display their Google Photos albums as ambient or idle screen content on these devices.

Users can control the slideshow experience via the Google Photos app (Settings > Apps & devices > Photo frames) or through the Google Home app. The expansion will bring Google Photos integration to a wider range of smart home and entertainment devices, enhancing the usability and convenience for users.

Google has not announced specific third-party devices or integrations at this time, but it is expected that this update will enhance the user experience on non-Android/Google TV sets and dedicated photo frames.
