Material 3 Expressive Redesign of Google Clock Leaks
Ahead of the debut of Material 3 Expressive atGoogle I/O 2025, a redesign of the Google Clock app has been leaked by Mystic Leaks. The updates include:
- Bottom Bar: A narrower pill-shaped indicator and slightly tweaked tab icons with more detail.
- Tab Renaming: 'Clock' is now 'World Clock,' and individual tabs are labeled as 'Alarms' and 'Timers.'
- FAB Changes: The floating action button (FAB) is now a rounded square in the bottom-right corner.
- Alarm Editing: A new sheet for editing or creating alarms, featuring detailed settings like Alarm name, Sound, Vibrate, Weather forecast, and Google Assistant Routine.
- Active Alarms: Highlighted background cards for active alarms and a more prominent 'Dismiss' button.
- Timers UI: New increments and a 'Start' button instead of a play icon. Active timer interface includes play/pause in the circle.
- Stopwatch Redesign: Simplification with digits replacing the circle motif and larger text buttons for Stop, Reset, and Lap.
- Technical Updates: The app is now 100% Jetpack Compose.
The redesign aims to make the Clock app more intuitive and visually clean.
