Fitbit App Tests Sleep Labs Feature with Daily Journal and Personalized Insights

Fitbit is testing a new experimental feature called "Sleep Labs" that analyzes users' sleep patterns to help them understand their sleep habits. Users can opt-in to receive Sleep Insights and Tips, which are not yet available for all users in Fitbit Labs. The feature includes a daily sleep journal with a 2-minute survey asking multiple-choice and free-form questions about the user's sleep. The data from the survey and sleep tracking will be analyzed by a large language model to create a daily summary that appears in the Today and Sleep stats screen. Users who complete four daily journals will also receive a weekly recap with sleep trends for the week, tips to improve sleep, and personalized missions that track specific sleep recommendations based on the details provided in the daily journal.
