Ford Drivers Can Now Use Apple Maps for Tesla Supercharger EV Routing

Ford drivers can now plan efficient EV road trips with Apple Maps, including routes to Tesla Superchargers and other NACS fast charging stations.

Apple has enhanced the Apple Maps EV Routing feature for Ford drivers, specifically those with a Mustang Mach-E or F-150 Lightning. Starting from March 10, 2025, these vehicles can now utilize Tesla Superchargers and other North American Charging Standard (NACS) fast charging stations via CarPlay. This update addresses a previous limitation where Apple Maps only routed to Combined Charging System (CCS) stations, even when NACS might have been more efficient. The new integration provides a seamless experience by recommending NACS fast chargers directly in route planning. Users can set their preferred charging network in Apple Maps settings and receive estimated battery levels upon arrival at destinations along with suggested charging stops. This update is available for iPhone users running iOS 17 or later without requiring any car software updates.
