A former Apple employee has publicly thanked the company and CEO Tim Cook for their assistance in evacuating her and her grandmother from Kharkiv, Ukraine during the Russian invasion in 2023. Katrin Rezykova, who was previously at Apple as an engineer and developer, noted that Apple hired security contractors to aid in the evacuation process. This is not the first time Apple has taken such measures—another employee on X.com detailed how the company had once evacuated a disabled man before a hurricane hit Florida.
