Fortnite Returns to iPhone via Epic’s EU Account: What You Need to Know

Epic Games is set to relaunch Fortnite on the iPhone in the US using an EU-based developer account, bringing the popular game back to iOS devices after a two-year absence.

Fortnite Relaunching on iPhone in the US Epic Games, the developer of Fortnite, is set to bring back its popular game to iPhones and iPads in the United States after a judge ordered Apple to allow apps to include third-party payment links without commission. The main hurdle was resolved when Epic decided to use their EU-based developer account, which has been approved since last year due to the EU's Digital Markets Act (DMA). This account will be used to submit Fortnite to the US App Store. While the app hasn't yet been submitted for Apple’s review, it is expected that the process will be swift, and US users could see Fortnite back on their devices before the weekend.
