From Trash to Treasure: Old Google Pixel Cases Reborn as Disc Golf Discs

Old Google Pixel Cases Transformed into Disc Golf Discs
Loopy Cases, a brand known for manufacturing protective cases for Google Pixel phones, and Trash Panda, a disc golf brand that recycles broken or unwanted discs, have collaborated to create a unique solution for smartphone case waste. They are transforming old, unused phone cases into high-quality disc golf discs.
The 'Phone Case Inner Core' is a putter and approach disc made from recycled TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), the same material used in many phone cases. The teal version of this disc is crafted from old Google Pixel 4a cases, which are identified by their design and headphone jack cutout. The pink variation comes from iPhone cases.
This innovative recycling process not only reduces waste but also adds a unique 'flake' effect to the discs due to parts of the case that don't fully melt down. The discs are available for purchase at $22 each, manufactured in Denver, Colorado. This partnership highlights the potential for creative and sustainable solutions in the tech accessory industry.
