Galaxy Watch 4 receives Wear OS 5 update in more regions – what's next?

Samsung is rolling out its One UI 6 Watch update to older generations of the Galaxy Watch, with the company's very first Wear OS smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 4, now getting the update in one region.

Samsung has begun rolling out its One UI 6 Watch update with Wear OS 5 for the Galaxy Watch 4 in more regions, following an initial release in Korea. With this third major update, questions have been raised on whether it will be the last major update for the device, but Samsung indicated that the Galaxy Watch 4 series would receive up to four years of updates, meaning the next Wear OS 5.1 update could likely be the final significant one for this smartwatch.
