Gemini 2.0 Flash Rolls Out: Faster, Smarter AI on Android and iOS

Google's Gemini 2.0 Flash is now live on Android and iOS, offering faster responses and enhanced performance for everyday tasks.

Following its recent announcement, Gemini 2.0 Flash is now being rolled out to the Gemini app on both Android and iOS platforms. This updated model, which was previously in testing, has transitioned from experimental status and promises improved performance over its predecessor, Gemini 1.5 Pro, in areas such as code generation, factuality, mathematical calculations, reasoning, and more, while also providing faster response times. Alongside the new Gemini 2.0 Flash, Google is enhancing the app with Imagen 3, offering better image generation capabilities, richer details, and higher accuracy. The update is gradually making its way to mobile devices, with the iOS version receiving an update today and some Android users seeing it in the beta version of the Google app. Existing models like Gemini 1.5 Flash and 1.5 Pro will continue to be available for a short while longer. Gemini Advanced subscribers get access to additional features such as a larger context window, Gems creation, and Deep Research.
