Gemini Live Adds Dynamic Video and Screen Sharing Features in March Rollout

At MWC 2025, Google announced the rollout of Project Astra-powered live video and screen sharing capabilities in Gemini Live for Android devices later in March. Once users launch the Gemini overlay, they will find a 'Share screen with Live' button above the Ask Gemini field, allowing them to share their screens with just a tap. In full-screen mode, a new video button next to a screen-share shortcut enables live feeds. These features were first teased at I/O 2024 and previewed in January for Samsung’s Galaxy S25 and Pixel devices. The updates will be available to Gemini Advanced subscribers as part of the Google One AI Premium plan. Demonstrations are available at MWC in Barcelona.
