Gemini Live and Project Astra: The Future of Conversational AI
Gemini Live now allows users to have a two-way dialogue with Gemini on their mobile app, with the ability to soon upgrade to conversational video capabilities as part of Project Astra.
At I/O 2024, Google announced Gemini Live, allowing users to have a dialogue with the Gemini AI through the mobile app. The app features an audio waveform effect and allows for interruptions and clarifications during conversations. In later updates, the app will include conversational video capabilities. Project Astra was also demoed by Google DeepMind, aiming to create a universal AI agent that can understand complex and dynamic environments in real-time.
