Genmoji on iOS 18.2 Beta: Send and Receive with Non-AI iPhones
Genmoji, one of the most anticipated Apple Intelligence features in iOS 18.2 beta, can be sent by anyone with a non-AI iPhone, as long as they have received them first from someone with an AI-compatible device.
The iOS 18.2 beta has introduced Genmoji, an Apple Intelligence feature that allows users to create custom emojis. While only select modern iPhones support AI and can install the beta, non-AI devices can receive and save these Genmoji to their emoji libraries. Users without an AI-compatible iPhone can request Genmoji from a friend with an iPhone 16 and iOS 18.2, and then reuse them.
