Glitch in Google Home App Repeatedly Prompts Nest Cam Setup on Nest Hub Max
An ongoing issue in the Google Home app is causing some users to repeatedly see a prompt asking them to ‘Set up new Nest Cam features for Nest Hub Max,’ even if they have already completed this setup. The pop-up, which started appearing after Google rolled out support for the Nest Hub Max’s built-in camera late last year, is mistakenly showing up for users who have already moved their camera settings over from the Nest app to the Google Home app. While the exact cause of the bug is unclear, multiple users have reported experiencing this issue on platforms like Reddit and Twitter/X. It’s expected that Google will address the problem with a fix in due course.
