Google Calendar's New Update Simplifies Multi-Account Event Creation on Android
Google Calendar Update Simplifies Multi-Account Event Creation
Google has rolled out an update to the Google Calendar app on Android (v2025-16.0) that simplifies the process of creating events across multiple Google accounts. Previously, users had to navigate a single dropdown menu listing all calendars from all accounts, which could be overwhelming. The new UI introduces separate menus for selecting the account and calendar, making it easier to manage multiple accounts.
- Account Selection: Users can now choose their Google account from a dropdown menu.
- Calendar Selection: After selecting an account, users can pick the specific calendar from a side-scrolling list.
While this new layout is more intuitive, the side-scrolling list might still be cumbersome for users with many calendars. This update is currently available on Android only, and Google Calendar for iOS continues to use the older setup.
