Google Chat Expands Markdown and Gemini Summaries
- Real-time Markdown Support: Google Chat now offers real-time Markdown formatting, enhancing the user experience by automatically applying formats as you type. Code blocks and code formatting are also being introduced in the compose bar.
- Gemini Summaries for Direct Messages: The Gemini AI assistant is expanding its capabilities to provide summaries for direct messages, not just unread conversations. Available under 'Summarize' from the Home tab, this feature is now available for Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, and Enterprise Plus plans.
Additional Workspace Updates
- Document and Presentation Analysis: Enterprise users can now upload and analyze various document and presentation file types (including DOC, DOCX, PDF, RTF, DOT, DOTX, HWP, HWPX, TXT, PPTX) using the Gemini AI assistant.
Google Vids Enhancements
- Looping Animations: Users can add looping animations to text, stickers, and shapes in their videos for continuous emphasis and style.
- AI Voiceover Options: New voiceover options with natural and expressive tones are available, including 'Narrator', 'Educator', 'Teacher', 'Persuader', 'Explainer', 'Coach', and 'Motivator'. These voices adjust pitch and tone to match the script.
