Google Contacts Redesigns Favorite Widget on Android with Circular Avatars and Grid Layout

Google Contacts has redesigned its Favorite contacts widget on Android with a more standard grid formation and moved to circular avatars with the person's first and last name listed below.

This update switches to circular avatars with names listed and is rolling out as server-side updates. The previous design showed large rectangular profile images, while this version helps if you have many favorites by showing them in a grid more consistent with the Highlights tab.
