Google Ditches Iconic Camera Bar in Upcoming Pixel 9a; Leaked Cases Confirm New Design

Leaked official cases for the upcoming Pixel 9a reveal a major design change, with the removal of the iconic camera bar, signaling a new direction for Google’s mid-range smartphones.

Leaked Official Pixel 9a Cases Confirm the Loss of Google’s Camera Bar Design

Recent leaks, shared by Android Authority, have revealed official cases for the upcoming Google Pixel 9a, confirming significant changes to its design. The most notable alteration is the removal of the iconic camera bar, which spanned the entire width on previous Pixel models. Instead, the camera cutout is now aligned to the left side of the case.

The cases feature a similar overall look to the current Pixel 9 series, including a central 'G' logo and matching colors such as pink (Peony), black (Obsidian), purple (Iris), and white (Porcelain). The cases also have a microfiber finish on the inside. Additionally, another leak this week provided a glimpse of the Pixel 9a’s bezels from the front.

While more details are still pending, these leaks provide valuable insights into the design changes Google is introducing with its next mid-range device.
