Google Ends Project Allowing Android Devices to Easily Run ChromeOS as Ferrochrome App Sunsets
Google's project that would have let Android devices easily run ChromeOS has come to an end as the company is not further developing Ferrochrome, the app that allowed for this functionality.

Google has ended a project that would have allowed Android devices to easily run ChromeOS with the click of a button. The project, known as 'Ferrochrome,' is not being further developed and Google has stated it "wouldn't ship" this project nor maintain the code. Google initially confirmed the project earlier this year but said it was nothing more than a proof of concept. While the specific Ferrochrome project is shutting down, Google will continue to develop the underlying Android Virtualization Framework.
