Google Enhances Gemini Live with Multimodal Capabilities and Real-Time Translation

Google is rolling out updates to Gemini Live, enhancing its capabilities to make conversations more dynamic and engaging. The update includes improvements in understanding multiple languages, dialects, and accents, as well as enhanced translation features. Additionally, screen sharing and live video streaming capabilities are set to be introduced. These updates will allow for a richer multimodal experience, processing text, audio, and video inputs. However, these enhancements come with changes in data handling: Gemini Live will now store audio, video, and screenshares in Gemini Apps Activity, which can be managed and deleted by users according to their settings. The update is being rolled out gradually to users.
