Google Introduces 'Quick Insert' and 'G' Keys on Chromebooks for Enhanced User Experience
Google announces new ChromeOS devices and Chromebook Plus features, including a physical Quick Insert key and a stylized 'G' logo key for easier access to common actions

AppleInsider today announced new features for ChromeOS devices and Chromebook Plus, including a physical Quick Insert key on the keyboard. This key brings up a menu that allows users to search to insert or create with Google AI when in a text field. At launch, this feature enables quick access to 'Help me write' and will support image generation in the future. The new Quick Insert key replaces the Launcher key, which now appears as the stylized Google 'G' logo to the left of the space bar.
