Google Introduces 'Screen Time Reminders' on Android Phones

Google's Digital Wellbeing tools on Pixel and other Android phones add 'Screen time reminders' to help you stop doomscrolling

Google has quietly rolled out a new feature as part of its Digital Wellbeing suite on Pixel and other Android phones, with 'Screen time reminders.' This feature shows an on-screen reminder when you're spending too much time in an app, to help users avoid getting overly distracted. The reminder appears even if you don't have app time limits turned on. Off by default, the feature can be enabled for all apps on your device and can show a pop-up after 15-25 minutes spent in an app. Users can disable reminders for specific apps but cannot customize how often they appear.
