Google Keep Widget Gets Fresh Look: Aligns with Latest Android Design Guidelines
Google Keep is getting a widget redesign that aligns with the latest Android guidelines, featuring a taller layout and updated iconography.

Google Keep Widget Redesign to Match Latest Android Guidelines
- Current Widgets: Dating back to 2021, the current Google Keep widgets feature a 'Quick capture' button in a rounded square and other icons (new list, audio note, drawing, photo) placed against the background.
- New Design: The updated widget is taller and takes up more space, aligning with Google’s latest design guidelines. The plus button for quick capture is now in a vertical pill shape, and other icons are housed in rounded rectangles.
- Current Status: As of Google Keep 5.25.122.00.90, the new design only appears in the widget picker and briefly when placed on the homescreen. It has not been fully rolled out yet.
- Other Widgets: You might be able to preview the new design with Google Drive’s updated 'quick actions' widget, which is also not widely available.
- Additional Updates: The redesign does not affect Note collections or Single note widgets introduced more recently.
