Google Maps Location History Moves to On-device Storage for Improved Privacy
Google Maps is widely rolling out a change to its Location History feature, now called Your Timeline, which moves the data to local devices instead of storing it in the cloud. The prompt notifies users about this new approach and gives them six months to set up the new system before the old one goes away.
