Google Messages Adds Customization Options for User Profiles

Google Messages has introduced a new feature called 'Your profile' that allows users to customize their name and picture within the app. This feature is being rolled out to select users and will soon be available for everyone. Users can choose how visible their profile information is by selecting from three options: People you message, Only your contacts, or No one.
