Google Messages Introduces 'Sending as' Profile Notice for Enhanced Recognition
Google Messages is adding a new 'Sending as' profile notice above the text field in RCS conversations, showing your account profile picture and name. This feature helps with recognition, especially in group chats, by overriding existing saved contact photos
Google Messages is now explicitly reminding you what name and profile you’re 'Sending as.' A 'Sending as' notice appears above the text field in RCS conversations, showing your Google Account profile picture and name. After sending a message in that thread, the line will disappear. This feature is rolling out with Google Messages beta (version 20241112_00_RC00).
