Google Messages 'Magic Rewrite' Expands Text Field, Rolls Out to Stable Users
Google Messages for Android has moved the 'Rewrite' aspect of Magic Compose, making it accessible through the 'plus' menu and expanding the text field. This update is now rolling out to stable users.

Google Messages for Android is making a change to its text messaging features called Magic Compose. The 'Rewrite' aspect of this AI-powered tool is being moved from the message bubble with a sparkle icon to the 'plus' menu, which also houses Gallery, GIFs, Stickers and other add-ons. In addition to being renamed as 'Magic Rewrite', the change means that Android users will have a slightly larger text field in which to write their messages. This feature has started rolling out to stable users.
