Google Messages Redesigns Camera and Gallery UI, Introduces 'Original Quality' Sending Option
Google Messages redesign features a merged camera + gallery UI and "Original quality" sending option, providing users with enhanced photo sharing capabilities.

Google Messages has redesigned the UI for taking and sending pictures that merges a live camera viewfinder with your gallery. Tapping the Gallery button will open a new fullscreen UI, with a camera viewfinder taking up most of the screen and an always-present sheet showing three images in full from your gallery. After taking or selecting a photo, users can choose to send it in either 'Optimize for chat' or 'Original quality'. This feature is currently rolling out in the latest Google Messages beta.
